The Monmouth Beach Police Department ISU oversees all criminal investigations conducted in the Borough of Monmouth Beach. The bureau is also tasked with the handling of all juvenile welfare and delinquency matters within the borough. The division is presently staffed by two officers on a part-time basis, Detective Ryan Rodriguez and Detective Kevin Duerkes. The ISU is on call 24 hours a day and handles general and advanced investigations, as well as basic forensics processing.
The ISU also oversees the departments Quality of Life Enforcement Details. This is an undercover assignment manned by detectives and patrol officers that attempts to address quality of life issues on and around the beach front.
